Meet the Blue Sky Family Health Team Registered Dietitians!

Meet Andrea Meet AndreaAndrea loves getting her cook on and exploring new recipes and new flavours! She loves preparing vegetarian dishes and discovering different ways to cook tofu, and heart healthy legumes. She has a specific passion for helping with the nutritional management of chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, prediabetes and high cholesterol. Her favourite foods are probably hummus and blueberries. Andrea completed her nutrition degree in London, Ontario and completed her internship through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She loves to travel, cycle and play badminton in her spare time.

Meet Veronica Meet VeronicaVeronica enjoys working with people to improve their health through diet. Her favourite topics to discuss are mindful eating and bowel health. Her favourite food is the orange, and she would take salty chips over sweet cookies any day of the week. She loves travelling and eating local fare where ever she goes. She went to school in Nova Scotia and completed her internship in New Brunswick.

Some of our Dietitians in the Community

Dietitians work at the Health Unit and focus their work on improving the health of the community.  They work in schools, with families, and with community partners to improve food security and healthy eating.

Dietitians work in various areas in the hospital to provide specialized knowledge and skills to work with various sick people.  From Cancer to tube feeds to eating disorders, they do it all!

Dietitians work in long term care to care for our aging population.  They work with staff and families to assess diet textures; nutrition needs and meal planning.

A dietitian works on Nipissing First Nation. She works in all sectors of the community, fostering traditional food choices and food security.
